Here comes tomorrow's business jets

While an economic recovery sputters in the U.S. and Europe, business jet manufacturers foresee continued growth in such emerging markets as China, Latin America and Russia.

Many of these manufacturers have invested in new airplanes and in major upgrades of current models and are already being rewarded by sales in those emerging markets. The first of these new airplanes—nearly 20 of them—are expected to enter service between now and 2016.

What follows is a capsule look at business jets that have been funded and are in the development pipeline.
