Seven FBOs have left the Million Air franchise system and switched to a new brand name, Odyssey Aviation, having joined in a marketing partnership with the Odyssey Aviation Bahamas FBO at Lynden Pindling International Airport in Nassau. Odyssey Bahamas also used to be a Million Air franchisee.

With the worldwide economy still in decline, the National Business Aviation Association has canceled this year's Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE), which had been scheduled for February in Hong Kong. NBAA has also cut back its inaugural Light Business Airplane Conference from three days to two, March 13 to 14.

Egyptian movie star Yousef Mansour has bought a Phoenix CRJ and plans to prominently feature the large-cabin jet in his next series of films. The aircraft is a 50-seat Bombardier CRJ200 regional airliner that has been extensively converted by Dubai-based Project Phoenix into a long-range executive jet that can seat 12 passengers.
