Houston-based Landmark Aviation has introduced Landmark Connect, a free application that’s compatible with iPhones and iPads. (Versions for Android and Blackberry smartphones will be available soon.) According to Landmark, the app provides customers with service and contact information for every FBO in its network.

Year-over-year business aircraft flying activity is up 1 percent, according to data released by aviation services company Argus. The greatest growth was in the small-cabin-jet category, where the number of flights rose 2.1 percent. Flights increased 1.7 percent for midsized business jets and 1.1 percent for turboprops, but declined 2.8 percent for large-cabin jets.

Gulfstream Aerospace has opened a Beijing sales office in the China World Tower, which is in the middle of the city’s central business district. "As the business aviation market continues to expand in Asia Pacific, it becomes increasingly important that Gulfstream and [parent company] General Dynamics have a permanent presence in Beijing," said Larry Flynn, Gulfstream’s president.
