Dassault Falcon Revamps Service Network

Business jet manufacturer Dassault Falcon has announced what it calls a "major new strategy" for its service-center network. Currently, all of its company-owned and authorized service centers support all of its models, but the company says its revamped network will allow authorized centers to specialize in one or two models if they choose, resulting in "a more specialized approach that will provide a quicker reaction" to customers' needs. Under the company's revised structure, most authorized centers in North America and many in Europe will offer comprehensive support for all Falcon models, including all levels of maintenance and inspections, refurbishments and upgrades. Five centers in Finland, Germany, Singapore, South Africa and the U.S., meanwhile, will provide comprehensive support for a particular model series while another 13 centers around the world will offer line maintenance for specific models. In addition, Dassault Falcon has introduced a chain of company-owned satellite service stations that will support basic line maintenance and will be staffed with teams that can be rapidly dispatched to an aircraft's location with the parts and tools needed to get it flying. The first such U.S. facility opened recently in St. Louis; others are in Nice, France; Rome; Moscow; and London.
