VistaJet Orders 18 Bombardier Jets

VistaJet–a Swiss air charter operator and aircraft management company–has announced a firm order for 18 Bombardier business jets. After expected delivery next year of the $383 million order, VistaJet will have more than 50 aircraft, all from Bombardier. The company has a total order backlog valued at approximately $1.3 billion, according to founder and chairman Thomas Flohr. On order are 10 Global 6000s, six Challenger 605s, 11 Learjet 85s and six Learjet 60XRs. Prior to the worldwide financial crisis, VistaJet had been working toward a high-volume business plan that would see its fleet rise to more than 100 aircraft. Between this month and November, it is due to take delivery of three of the previously ordered Challengers and a pair of Global Express jets.
