Loss of Bombardier Product Support Chief Leaves Void

James Hoblyn, Bombardier Aerospace's president of customer services, died while running on July 6. He was 46. In April 2008, Hoblyn was appointed as the aircraft manufacturer's president of customer services and specialized and amphibious aircraft, where he oversaw aftermarket services for Bombardier's business and commercial aircraft customers, including field and technical support, parts, maintenance services and pilot training. Hoblyn's stamp on the customer services division had become more visible since the beginning of this year, after a flurry of announcements about increases in business aircraft after-market support in Europe, the Middle East, Russia, Asia and Africa.
