24 More Reasons To Fly Privately

Delta Air Lines has announced that it can "no longer afford" to fly to 24 small U.S. airports, among them the ones in Muscle Shoals, Ala., and Pierre, the capital of South Dakota. According to a July 19 New York Times article by BJT contributor Joe Sharkey, "all major airlines have been reducing and sometimes eliminating flights altogether in small cities, as the industry concentrates much of its service in 29 major hubs, which now account for 70 percent of all passenger traffic." Of course, you can still point your business jet to more than 2,700 U.S. airports.
