ICON Aircraft Receives Record 143 Orders at Air Show

ICON Aircraft has announced that it received 143 deposits for its A5 two- seat amphibious light sport aircraft during last month's weeklong EAA AirVenture Show in Oshkosh, Wis. During the show, ICON lowered the deposit for an A5 from $5,000 to $2,000 and contributed 10 percent of each deposit to EAA Young Eagles, a nonprofit organization dedicated to exposing youth to aviation. The ICON A5 will be priced at $139,000. It has folding wings to facilitate transportation and storage, a range of approximately 300 nautical miles and a top speed of 105 knots.
