  1. Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. The Vineyard was made to look like the fictional New England beach town of Amity Island for the original Jaws
  2. Natchitoches, LouisianaSteel Magnolias was filmed in the small community where the events it dramatizes took place.
  3. Mansfield, Ohio. The Ohio State Reformatory operated as a prison for almost a century until closing its doors in 1990, just a few years before being used to film Shawshank Redemption, starring Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman.
  4. Micanopy, Florida. This tiny village was transformed into the fictional town of Grady, South Carolina, for the 1991 film Doc Holiday, starring Michael J. Fox.
