Teton Thai: Hot Dishes, Cool Ambiance
Teton Thai Pad Gar Duck
Wednesday, August 8, 2012 - 12:30pm

Teton Thai delivers spicy Asian culinary masterpieces in a laid-back, Jackson-Hole-cool setting. Located near the base of the famed Wyoming ski resort, it is an extraordinary find.

With room for 20 diners inside and a pleasant patio offering additional seating outside (in good weather), this tiny Thai restaurant serves up fantastic, authentic, hot and spicy cuisine. Seats are at a premium as locals and visitors jostle to enjoy classic dishes like chicken pad Thai, panang with beef, an assortment of delectable green curries and flavorsome pad gar duck–not to mention some of the best egg rolls on the planet. (Don’t forget the sweet dipping sauce.) The spice scale goes from one to five, with three sufficient to get the fire engines revving and five off-the-charts hot.

Husband-and-wife owners Sam and Suchada run the joint as if it were an extension of their home kitchen and the service can get frenetic. While you wait for your entrees, try something from the pretty good local beer list or a wine that pairs well with the heat.

When visiting Wyoming, try to see the magnificent Grand Tetons, Yellowstone National Park and Jackson Hole Ski Resort but don’t miss Teton Thai.

Quote/Unquote

“"I've got a list of corporations that have gotten out of their airplanes [because of criticism from politicians]. It is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. When you look at the time and cost savings; it does not make sense not to fly [privately]. You can't let public perception interfere with your business decision to fly. It either is a good business decision or it isn't."”
