Dassault Falcon 8X Overview

Dassault's Falcon 8X began production in 2015, and initially cost $58 million. It now sells for an average of $51 million, according to AircraftPost, and has a total variable cost per year of $1,444,213, according to Conklin & de Decker.

With nearly 1,700 cubic feet of space, the Falcon 8X’s cabin is 7 percent larger than that of its predecessor, the Falcon 7X. The Falcon 8X has 33 cabin windows; electrically assisted seats (full electric function seats are also available); a new high-definition entertainment system; new, color-adjustable LED lighting; and a new system that increases cabin humidity by at least 20 percent. 

The Falcon 8X’s cockpit features the new EASy 3 glass-panel digital avionics, which are built around the Honeywell Primus Epic System and the Elbit head-up display, which combines enhanced and synthetic vision. The Pratt & Whitney Canada PW307D engines have been optimized to offer 6,725 pounds of thrust each, with a 5 percent thrust increase and lower emissions than the Falcon 7X.

According to Conklin & de Decker, the Dassault Falcon 8X typically seats 12 passengers and has a range of 6,290 nautical miles. The Falcon 8X has a maximum takeoff weight of 73,000 pounds. It has a maximum cruise speed of Mach 0.9 and a long-range cruise speed of Mach 0.8
