Bombardier To Debut New Models

Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier has announced that it will launch a "new Global aircraft family" and will provide details about the forthcoming models on October 18. Signs point to a fresh design though a Global XRS derivative is possible. An XRS derivative would cost $200 million to $300 million to develop and could be in service in 2013, according to George Tsopeis, Zenith Jet's vice president of aviation services, while a completely new Global would cost more than $1 billion and wouldn't enter service until 2016 or later.
