How to Aid Earthquake Relief Efforts

As all BJT readers surely know, multiple earthquakes devastated portions of Turkey and Syria in February, killing tens of thousands of people and leaving many more homeless and without adequate food, clothing, heat, and other necessities.

What you may not know are the best ways you can help. A page on the site of Charity Navigator, which rates charitable organizations based on their effectiveness, accountability, and other factors, can point you in the right direction. It lists groups that are aiding the earthquake relief effort and that earn its top, four-star rating, including Doctors without Borders, Direct Relief, the American Red Cross, and the Syrian American Medical Society Foundation.
