Jet Edge Acquires JetSelect Aviation
The combined fleet includes more than 85 aircraft, ranging from super midsize to VVIP.
Jet Edge's acquisition of Columbus, Ohio–based JetSelect Aviation make it one of the largest business jet fleet operators and managers in the U.S. The acquisition expands the Jet Edge fleet to more than 85 aircraft, adds a range of models—particularly in the super-midsize business jet segment—and rounds out its reach throughout the country.
The combined entity encompasses large and ultra-long-range aircraft, including models from Boeing, Gulfstream, Bombardier, Dassault, and Embraer, in addition to the super-midsize Challenger 300/350 and midsize Learjet 60. JetSelect brings 18 aircraft; more than half are Challenger 300/350s, but the company's fleet also includesthe Learjet and a Gulfstream, Falcon, and Global. With its base in Columbus, JetSelect provides strategic locations throughout the Central and Eastern U.S. and expands the number of Jet Edge's domestic hubs.
Jet Edge plans to leverage the additions by offering its point-to-point charter service with its Gulfstream IV/Vs, along with the Challengers. The company said the combined fleets will also benefit from its dedicated wholesale teams and partnerships.
The acquisition continues Jet Edge on a growth trajectory, following its move last year to expand its presence in the dealer business with the commitment of $100 million to its newly formed Jet Edge Partners aircraft sales unit.
