Though its predecessor has been a formidable competitor in the super-midsize market, this new model offers even more.

The company introduced the super-midsize Challenger to its fleet in July 2014 and has since reported doubling in demand among its owners for the airplane. In fact, demand for this model at NetJets has resulted in a waitlist since the first delivery.

The Global series has been equally well received by share customers, NetJets said, adding that it maintains a “leadership position in the large-cabin segment.” The Global 5000 and 6000 types entered NetJets’ fleet in late 2012 and represent nearly a quarter of the company’s 125 large-cabin jets.

According to NetJets, its Challenger 350 fleet has logged nearly 70,000 flight hours, while its Globals have accumulated nearly 67,000 flight hours. The longest flight in a Global 6000 was a 6,055-nautical-mile trip from Manila, Philippines, to San Francisco.
