Raffles Bali

Jimbaran, which has long been home to some of Bali’s most prestigious hotels, added another esteemed hospitality brand during the island’s pandemic-induced tourism hiatus: Raffles, which opened in 2020. 

Located on Bali’s Bukit Peninsula, and with an arc of white sandy beach edging the Indian Ocean, Jimbaran is revered for its exquisite sea views and sublime sunsets. Raffles Bali stretches up a verdant hillside from a secluded bay south of Jimbaran beach and has been designed to make the most of its peaceful location. Each of the 32 private pool villas that sprawl across the 57-acre property is set in its own tropical garden and enjoys uninterrupted views across the bay and on to Bali’s interior.

This is the first of the resort chain’s 15 properties to launch Emotional Wellbeing by Raffles, a program that it says combines “harmonious design, nutrition for pleasure, and serenity rituals.”

Of course, a Raffles property wouldn’t be complete without its own Writers Bar (and signature Sling cocktail). There are also two gourmet restaurants here: beachfront Loloan, which is for in-house guests only; and Rumari, at the highest point of the property, which is becoming popular for its sumptuous Sunday brunches.
