Rectrix Expands King Air Cape Cod Shuttles

Shuttle aircraft feature nine “first class” seats and are flown by two pilots under a Part 135 DOT commuter authorization.

Massachusetts-based private charter company and FBO Rectrix Aviation has launched scheduled shuttle flights between Worcester and Hyannis using Beechcraft King Air B300s. The service debuted at the end of June, with the maiden flight departing from Hyannis at 3:45 p.m. EDT for Worcester.

The Worcester schedule features one round trip daily from Thursday through Monday. On Thursdays and Fridays, the shuttle will leave Hyannis at 3:45 p.m. for the 30-minute flight to Worcester, then depart at 4:45 p.m. for the return to Hyannis. On Sundays, it will be a 7 p.m. flight from Hyannis to Worcester and an 8 p.m. departure for the return trip, with Monday’s schedule running 30 minutes later than that.

Rectrix last year established its first shuttle operation, with flights between Hyannis and Nantucket. Shuttle aircraft feature nine “first class” seats and are flown by two pilots under a Part 135 DOT commuter authorization.

Earlier this month, Rectrix celebrated its 20,000th charter flight since the company began on-demand operations in 2010. Unlike many charter operators, the charter division of Rectrix owns its fleet, which includes Bombardier Learjet 45s and Challenger 300s and 604s.
