The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park

The facility, which closed during the pandemic, returns with expanded amenities and services.

The Ritz-Carlton’s motto is, "We are ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen," but after COVID hit, nobody was serving anybody at the hotel chain’s Central Park South location in New York City. The facility, which had just completed a $45 million renovation, was forced to close.

Now it has reopened, showcasing reimagined guest suites, a new all-day “gastro lounge” called Contour, and a new fitness center with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment.

One new luxury offering is the $50,000 Nightcap package in the hotel’s two-bedroom Royal Suite, which features a 12-person dining room, a bar, and an art collection. Amenities include the use of a house car, crafted cocktails at Contour (served in engraved keepsake Lalique glasses), and an in-suite spa treatment by two therapists.

Another calling card is the hotel’s new 3,000-square-foot private Club Lounge, a soothing oasis filled with lush green plants. Here, you can enjoy gourmet food, consult with a dedicated concierge, or just sit by the oversized windows and contemplate the beauty of Central Park, which is right across the street.
