XOJet Growing, Adding Aircraft

XOJet, which recently reported 50 percent year-over-year growth in its business, is adding another Challenger 300 aircraft to its fleet as well as its first Challenger 605. The Brisbane, Calif.-based company says it will acquire additional Challenger 300s and Challenger 605s in 2011. XOJet also plans to open a New York office in the first quarter of 2011 and to "greatly expand" its teams in the Los Angeles and San Francisco areas.

Earlier in 2010, XOJet claimed to be the first major business aviation company to have its entire fleet Wi-Fi-enabled. "As [customers'] sophistication has increased, so have their expectations," CEO Blair LaCorte told BJT. "One example is Wi-Fi, which was once considered a nice-to-have [option but] has become an essential for both business and recreational travelers."
