Reynolds Jet

Headquartered at Cincinnati Municipal Lunken Airport, Reynolds Jet Management offers aircraft management and charter services, including a customizable jet card program and Part 91 flight support.

Company founder James Mercer Reynolds assisted in the George W. Bush White House travel office after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then briefly served as general manager of Air10 Jet Center—an FBO at Cincinnati’s Lunken Airport—before acquiring it and its sister company, Midwest Jet Management, in 2008. Reynolds retained Midwest’s Part 135 charter certificate, which the company had obtained in 2003, and the three aircraft under that certificate to continue charter operations under the Reynolds Jet name.

Reynolds Jet—which earned the ARGUS Platinum rating in 2009 and has passed renewal audits ever since—received IS-BAO Stage II and IS-BAO Stage III certifications in 2011 and 2017, respectively. The company added a King Air 350 to its charter certificate in 2011; various other aircraft, including Gulfstreams, Hawkers, and Challengers, joined its managed fleet from 2012 to 2015.

In 2014 Reynolds Jet opened a sales and marketing office at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas, with Tim Stanley serving as vice president of business development. From that year through 2016, the company hosted annual Cincinnati Business Aviation Symposiums, which were attended by representatives from business aviation companies and corporate flight departments in southern Ohio and northern Kentucky.

In 2015 Reynolds Jet obtained a 22-year lease to occupy historic Hangar 4 at Lunken Airport. A former aircraft manufacturing plant, the hangar had housed Procter and Gamble’s corporate flight department from 1950 to 2006. Reynolds Jet refurbished Hangar 4 to accommodate its fleet—then consisting of seven aircraft, six of which were available for charter—and half of its Cincinnati-based staff. The facilities also offer direct fueling from an onsite fuel farm, car-door-to-aircraft-door services, and locked garage parking for aircraft owners and charter guests. By 2016 the company had become the largest operator of Lunken Airport–based aircraft. It had also implemented a safety management system (SMS) and joined the Air Charter Safety Foundation.

Former Delta Private Jets vice president James Murray joined Reynolds Jet in 2021 as president. At the time, the company had three aircraft on its charter certificate and others under management.
