Greenjets Raises Prices Due to Higher Fuel Costs

Greenjets-which has attracted more than 2,000 customers for its shared-ride private jet service since it began operations last April-has increased its per-seat prices approximately 10 percent in response to a jump in fuel costs. Annual fixed trip prices for new Greenjetcard members have also risen. The impact of the changes will be a few hundred dollars per seat for on-demand travelers, according to the West Palm Beach, Fla. company. For Greenjetcard members, meanwhile, the increases will range from $1,250 to more than $10,000 per year, depending on membership level. Greenjets, which does not own or operate aircraft, arranges rides for its customers with FAA Part 135 charter operators. It promotes its service as a way for travelers to save money while also minimizing the impact on the environment by reducing the number of jets in the air.
