Reports Show Charter Demand Rising, Prices Flat

Online charter portal Avinode reports that its demand index for June 30 reached 153.13, up almost 31 points from a month earlier and almost 67 points from the same day last year. However, prices appear flat. Avinode's price index stood at 94.99 on June 30, almost unchanged from a month earlier and down only about a point from the same day in 2009. In North America, average flight hours logged showed double-digit growth for the second month running. In the rest of the world, increases were more modest, but nonetheless continued for a second consecutive month.
