UK Company Helps Jet Owners Share Use of Aircraft

Up to three people or companies will now be able to share use of an aircraft with its owner, thanks to Oxford-based Jet Connections' new Non-Equity Sharers (NES) program. NES will be based on an annual contract between the owner and those sharing the aircraft. The four parties will divide the fixed operating costs and each non-equity partner will be responsible for his own flight-hour costs. Jet Connections will handle aircraft availability and all aspects of managing the legally binding agreements for an annual fee of approximately £40,000 (about $66,200), which will be split evenly among the four participants. Aircraft will be managed by the owner's existing management company, assuming it holds a commercial air operator's certificate (AOC), or by an AOC holder selected by Jet Connections.
