G650 Deliveries Still Planned for 2011 Despite Crash

About a dozen G650s will be delivered this year despite the test-flight accident on April 2, said Jay Johnson, chairman and CEO of Gulfstream parent General Dynamics.  Citing the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) crash investigation, which is still underway, Johnson noted that his comments had to be limited. He did mention that while G650 flight testing has been suspended, the company is consulting with the FAA and NTSB on when it can resume. Meanwhile, it is "moving forward" with all non-flying certification work.
