Connecticut Budget Doesn't Target Business Aviation

There's good news for bizav users in Connecticut: the budget passed by its legislature on May 2 does not contain the substantial tax increases for aviation that had been proposed in earlier versions. One such proposal would have eliminated the state's sales tax exemption on repair services for aircraft weighing more than 6,000 pounds. Prior to the vote, there were strong advocacy efforts by the National Business Aviation Association, the Connecticut Legislative Aviation Caucus and the Connecticut Business Aviation Group.
