Talon Air Adds To Managed Fleet

Talon Air has added a Gulfstream G550 and Gulfstream GV to its 40-aircraft fleet, the Farmingdale, New York–based Part 135 operator and aircraft management company recently announced. The addition of the G550 and GV brings the company's total of heavy jets to 13, 10 of which are Gulfstreams.

“Fleet growth is always an exciting time for the Talon team, and we anticipate that demand for these aircraft will be very strong,” said  James Chitty, CEO of Talon Air, which will base both twinjets in the New York metropolitan area. Like other long-range business jets in the company's fleet, the airplanes feature high-speed international Wi-Fi, leather seats that convert to beds, enhanced soundproofing, and a cabin attendant.

The company, which also provides aircraft maintenance, recently passed its Argus Platinum and IS-BAO Stage 3 audit renewals. In addition to Gulfstreams, Talon Air’s fleet includes Bombardier and Hawker jets such as the Challenger 604 and 300 and Hawker 4000 and 900XP.
