4 Facts about U.S. Pizza Consumption

1. Forty-seven percent of adults eat pizza at least two to three times a month and 73 percent have it at least once a month. 
2. Sixty percent of those in domestic partnerships like pepperoni, but only 39 percent of widows do. 
3. Americans’ favorite topping is pepperoni, with sausage in second place and mushrooms third.
4. Seventy-one percent prefer to eat leftover pizza warm versus only 16 percent who like it cold from the refrigerator and 5 percent who eat it at room temperature. (The remainder said they don’t eat leftover pizza or didn’t respond.)
