Meridian Gets Bombardier Global Family Maintenance Approval

Teterboro, New Jersey-based aviation services provider Meridian Jet Center has added to its lineup of maintenance options with its recent FAA approval to work on Bombardier Globals. The company already holds approvals to service models from Cessna, Dassault, Hawker, and Gulfstream.

“We now have the ability to perform inspections and repairs on the entire Global series, which is critical if you plan to serve the ultra-long-range segment,” noted John Langschultz, the company’s vice president of maintenance. “As business jets continue to get larger and the market for large-cabin aircraft continues to grow, we must expand our service offerings to remain competitive."

The company also just announced another addition to its Teterboro Airport facility: the acquisition of the former AIG hangar complex. It includes a 22,000-square-foot hangar, along with an additional 11,500 square feet of office and support space. “This hangar and additional ramp space will afford us greater flexibility with our customers, especially during gridlock periods when our capacity is challenged,” said company president Steve Chandoha. “Now we have more options to fuel, park, and hangar aircraft.”

In addition, Meridian is constructing a 40,000-square-foot hangar with 10,000 square feet of office space at Teterboro. Slated for completion by year-end, it replaces an obsolete 20,000-square-foot 1950s-era structure.
