Six months after Bombardier delivered its 150th Global 7500 ultra-long range bizjet, the aircraft continues to fascinate. If anything, the coveted model got another shot of adrenaline due to its robust partnership with VistaJet, which showed off the private jet at West Palm Beach International Airport. Here are some highlights we observed along with the cashmere socks and eyeshades in the bedroom to the fact that you can book a trip a scant 24 hours out.

Seamless Connectivity 

“We are one of the first customers of the aircraft—Bombardier delivered just shy of 240 Global 7500 aircraft and we have 18 of them in our fleet,” said Leona Qi, president of VistaJet US. “We're the only company in the world that can provide connectivity at this scale, meaning that we're guaranteeing our customers availability on this aircraft type from New York to Dubai, from Dubai to Hong Kong, and then from Hong Kong to London.”

Surprising Destination

Qi said that interest in Alaska spiked during the pandemic (not too many people breathing on you). VistaJet’s Private World experiences and events program has become adept at arranging ice fishing excursions. Farther-flung destinations are proving to be enduringly popular for the bizjet crowd: the Maldives, Singapore, and Bali. 

Alaska has emerged as a top VistaJet destination.

Design Sense

With more than 300 aircraft in the Vista Members’ fleet, Vista has strategically deployed one of the most ambitious refurbishment programs in business aviation—delivering it at scale and ahead of plan. And the entire Vista Members’ fleet is being modeled to emulate the design language of Bombardier’s Global 7500, offering familiarity in configuration, amenities, and connectivity. In 2023, 93 aircraft refurbishments were completed—50% more than initially planned.

Both VistaJet and Bombardier place a high priority on wellness. Bombardier’s Nuage seat, featuring a floating base, seems capable of moving in myriad ways, not unlike the human body. But it’s not an amusement park ride. The fact that the seat rises as it reclines reduces stress on the lower back.
